For many years I once worked nights,
pay was brillient and never had Day paper chasing Managers telling me what to do.
But did a 3 month stint on days to train for yet another type of machine
(5 axis fully CNC OERICON machining Centre - had 2 actually facing each other,
anyway, done my training and went back on nights again, still getting top rate for my skill base as I did get top rate on days but night money, well, that upset many, but they the management pushed I should so, gotta have it.
Hated days though, loud speakers calling for MR who ever all the time, men in suits and ties always looking, LOL
Nights was a dream, working mostly on my own right out the back shop over looking the once LONDON TRANSPORT CLUB AND GAMES AREAS.. Could see the outline of central LONDON upstairs..
So, why am I telling you all this, well,
its 2 AM as I type, I love being awake at night, some nights I stay up doing stuff on my big home PC mainly research stuff or youtubers I follow around the world..
Cant hear a pin drop as they say..
Do I miss work still some ALMOST to the day, night work 19 years ago ?
To be hoinest NOPE.
worked over hard in my working life added some blinding tax and stamp credits in doing so, but
fate showed me another way to live by selling up the big old family home we had for 25 happy years.
Those who know our family also know My Late wife got aggressive Brain Cancer that killed her in 18 months, so, fate gave her the years of retirement she would otherwise not had dying just before Christmas 2017 at just 67 years of age.
Had so many family and friends turn up for her funeral going from her Nieces house In Park Square to the crem then back for the wake..So many pink balloons was let off for Joyce that day..Life goes on, but History you cant forget..
Still love the quiet of night, you CAN hear the quiet movements of 2 AM visitors too once upon a time/ for tea and biscuits I guess - lol
So,
Its Night
OR
Morning all..
PS I DONT miss the hassle of London's now "East End" Hainault has become/ lost for ever now,
sadly..
but history should never be forgotten.
A photo of the place I once worked most my working life, now a STRATSTONES or whatever selling range rover and such.
