Major multi-million project could "kickstart" regeneration of JaywickYes we are all so gullible that we believe what messrs. Page and Co. tell us without question. You have got to be joking, 50 Council Houses in the village area, so what happens to all the owners and renters that already live in the village, rehoused by TDC, I doubt it, paid a fair market price for their homes, doubtful given the use by TDC of the 'contaminated land' ploy, in grabbing land from owners. In any event how will 50 homes accommodate all of the renters currently in the area. These people really do live on another planet, otherwise known as Frinton. It seems not to have occurred to these 'great' thinkers that one of the reasons people end up in Jaywick is not only for cheaper homes, but to not be living in some planners idea of perfection, a gulag with a bit of green space, possibly! It just does not seem to get through, people are fed up with being told what they need and having it thrust on them by so called government. The lessons of the Guiness Trust Estate seem to have been forgotten. Built originally for occupants of Brooklands, but mainly occupied by people originally from outside of the area. All the people around here have ever wanted was decent roads and sanitation and proper street lighting. We now have some of the most energy efficient homes in the country, I personally would not want to swap that for some 'Jerry built council rabbit hutch.
