Well from what I have been able to gather TDC has resorted to its usual strong arm tactics, in that previously if they could not block your planning in Jaywick due to flood risk, they would use the old chestnut of contaminated land, usually due to munitions manufacture and/or testing. From what I've been told it seems they've done it again, by buying up land at a knockdown price using that very same old excuse.
One can only hope that they are a little bit more forthcoming when it comes to getting professional contractors to carry out the Remediation work so that they can build their much bragged about Council Houses, that is on land that private individuals would be barred from building on.
I presume the developers that they bring in will require the same relaxation in Planning rules that the Council have in mind for the frontage of Holland-on-Sea.
And so the Hypocrisy continues
