Hi again! As part of the Health Trainer scheme, the volunteer Health Champions for Jaywick and Clacton are looking to start up a fruit and veg van, selling fruit and veg AT COST PRICE to local residents. We are looking for feedback on whether you think this would be a good idea for your community, it is running very successfully in other parts of the country and will enable residents to buy their fruit and veg on their doorstep at reduced prices. What do you think? Please feel free to tell us- 0800 731 3133 (freephone), or leave a message on this site. Thanks for your help, Alix

What a great idea. We can no longer afford our 5 a day and have had to cut back. Last week Sainsburys were charging £1.49 for a very small "pointed cabbage" that would be stretched to feed more than one person - and as for the price of potatoes!
