I had a nice conversation with a representative from the visiting group that was coached in to look at how our multi million pound beach replendishment was going on.
Cllr Kevin Wastson was being briefed by members from the Environment Agency, along with ECC officers and Tendring District Councills officers.
It was explained that the funding for our sea project differs from the next project that was on the agenda for today by the visiting team, namely, Holland on seas dangerous sea defence system, being the dangerous sea wall. then next onto see Waltons severly depleated defences, being the cliffs falling into the sea.
All 3 places use different funding, from different sources.
We in Jaywick should feel so lucky at have by far the largest amount of spend being undertaken to preserve our beaches, are lives, and our homes....
