www.gazette-news.co.uk/display.var.2378714.0.colchester_shop_centre_plans_put_back.phpThis "downturn" in building is beginning to bite hard. I personally know of homeowners outside of Tendring who have bitten of well more than they can chew. It must be the same for those with mortgauges everywhere. So, whats that got to do with Jaywick, well... If the much hyped regeneration in Colchester has been stopped, sorry "put back" alongside of lots of its intended new home builds, what chance a developer coming onboard with millions of quid to rebuild Jaywick....... Most building firms have lost SO much money in share value, only one way out for some of them is doing a bunk...sort of.. As we have a builder in our club, who lives in upmarket Clacton, he says he still has work coming in, but, for how long he`s not sure.... of subject, over 1,800 workers were / are wanted for construction of Londons olympics, but for out of work local builders, its a hard day to do that, every day....but.... its better than no work at all.... Whos to blame over our economy taking not only a nose dive, but a suicide mission.....
