Hello everyone, and thankyou for letting me join your site. I have visited Jaywick for many many years, when I was small my parents would take me there for the day and we'd sit on the beach all day, it was lovely and in all weathers too lol.
I am moving to Brightlingsea in a few weeks time so will be spending more time at Jaywick now, anyone got any views/opinions on Brightlinsea, it looks lovely.
Ohhh and Brian in the Dolphin Cafe does a great fry up there too yummy.
Sandra.

Welcome to the madhouse Sandra. feel free to post your questions on the main daily bit of our site.
Brightlingsea has undergone many changes in the past year or so, the new marina being still under construction for possably another year or more. If you look on TDC`s planning portal, it shows the new applications for planning being submitted, just to show the upturn in new building... OK, back to basics. its got the best chip shop for miles & miles, been known to flood at very high tides (fish just swim in ?.)...lol.. its got a passenger ferry to point clear, its got a nice bit of beach, its got a boating lake, its got a refurbished open air swimming pool, its got a bit of harbour walkway, its got a good little beachside cafe, its got a small shopping centre, its got a super store type place hidden away,
what its not got is good old jaywick...lol.

Welcome to the madhouse Sandra.
I don't know anything about Brightlingsea. I've been there a few times. My son used to go skateboarding in the park there.
