Whilst I can understand the concern of the services, I also wonder why then has St Osyth got speed bumps to the only way in and out of the beach and farm areas where there are a lot more caravans and chalets.

"A question raised about no cycling notices along the sea wall by the golf course going to Clacton was raised and is being looked into."
Interesting seeing as the police on bikes seem to disregard this, as well as all the other numpties who beleive that they have the god given right to try and mow down foot pedestrians. I feel that they should lead by example not do as I say, not as I do.
Off me soap box now.

This is where I get muddled Ian ..... Before there was NAP's there was just the forum and thats where issues like this were taken and discussed with the council and agencies people there, who took stuff back and it was either acted on or a reason given why not. The meetings were also the same time same place every month. Joe Public knew where and when and were invited to each and every one. Although not part of the discussion they could ask questions through the chair.... Now we have the forum, which well I've only seen one of their meeting advertised other than that I've no idea where or when these take place or even if they are "in camera" or open to the public. Naps is a well I've not sorted in my head yet what the difference is between that and the forum apart from most of it's meetings are private. Anyways I digress, traffic calming I suppose there are pros and cons. I was just wondering why the reason given for not having it was such when it's ok in St Osyth A meeting to see how people feel may be an idea, however it may get a better result if people had some sort of questionnaire to answer in the street or maybe when they go to the post office. ( I'm not volunteering though I've too much on at the moment)

The forum never used to have "closed" ones though Ian, thats whats confuzling me Still expect there are reasons.
I'm not knocking anyone Ian I'm just trying to get things straight in my head, a bit like thinking aloud but on here if that makes sense.
Heads together I agree on a questionaire type thing, plus I think help needed on that score as it's very easy to ask a question the wrong way or miss something out.

I was just wondering why the reason given for not having it was such when it's ok in St Osyth Traffic calming measures were approved and passed through planning then low and behold the funds weren't available, so i'm lead to beleive. Good ole TDC

J. until i get conformation of it being "closed" or "open" i must assume, by the timing of the meeting, that it is still a Closed meeting.
Thankyou for highlighting the absence of clarity though....

Further to the rush of local initiative on policing, Brooklands Resource Centre is holding another Neighbourhood Action Panel meeting on Monday 22 September. The meeting will be in 2 parts, 1) a closed one beforehand for its action panel members, then,
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC............ALL INVITED........... from 5-30pm onwards...
The time of this open meeting has been given so you can watch your fav soaps....
(the bad - good ? news is i wont be there, as i`m elswhere and cannot change that apointment)
