Concerns were expressed that a large number of Jaywick residents do not have direct access to IT facilities. However, it was acknowledged that the inclusion of extending the ICT suite at Frobisher School as part of the partnership’s outline capital expenditure programme for 07/08 will help improve community access to IT facilities.
When i re read the above, i wondered just why all the spin......
We now know of course, that "jaywick" was never intended to get its own telivision network....
Frobisher got its IT suite though....................................uummmmmmmm !

Anybody remember where Hi-Di-Hi was filmed? Yep, the old Warners camp at Dovercourt. Now nice houses I believe. Had a week there in the June before it finally closed. Was a d**n, good old down to earth camp.

Will check the rest of the links later but one said that just the exterior scenes only were filmed there. 95% of the interior scenes were also filmed there. The bits in the Hawaii Ballroom were filmed there also. The last year that it was open, when we stayed there, they were begining to film the last episodes. We actually saw Felix Bowness & one or two of the others. Trust me, it was an old camp but it was also a good camp. I have the first two series of Hi-Di-Hi on DVD & still watch them often.
